A man has been charged with killing a hotel guest who was found dead in his room.
The man was arrested at his residence in the early hours of Friday.
The victim, a 46-year-old man, had been staying at the RTE Hotel on the Strand in the city’s west.
He was found on the second floor of the hotel with stab wounds and was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital.
The suspect, believed to be in his 20s, is alleged to have stabbed him in the back and throat before fleeing the scene.
The incident comes a week after a hotel worker died in an apparent murder-suicide at the hotel.
