Penguins close out preseason schedule with three-game road trip

NORFOLK, Va.

— The Pittsburgh Penguins have closed out their preseason schedule.

They played a game in Chicago and then played three games in Columbus before returning to Philadelphia for a game Sunday night.

They then played two more games in Washington and Boston before returning home to play three games on Thursday.

The Penguins are off this week and will return to Columbus for two games on Monday.

Pittsburgh has not played a preseason game in Philadelphia since Oct. 14.

The Capitals won four games in a row in a three-week span Nov. 20-Dec. 10.

The Penguins lost their next three.

The last time the Penguins played in Philadelphia was on Jan. 18, 2012.
